This book refers to the process of adoption … in particular foreign adoption and more specifically, adoption from Russia. However, much applies to any adoption, within the US or abroad.

This is not a ‘How-to’ book it is perhaps more of a ‘How-not-to’ book. It is intended to make the participants of the process honestly aware of what is involved.

The terrifying exploitation of fragile couples by the adoption process should be transparent. It is not.

Furthermore, couples should have plain information of the drain of both their mental and material resources that will occur as ‘adoption proceeds.’ However, this is not the practice … so beware!

The grim reality cannot be exposed by anyone trying to adopt a baby because it would be simplicity itself to suddenly find that “no babies are available.” Those employed in the adoption process both here and abroad, with some exceptions, would prefer not to do business with anyone telling the truth and even to lose their short-term profits rather than to correct the present egregious system.

This is why these words are being written while my wife and I am immersed in the process and publication is due when the process ends..
