| Van Gogh's self portrait which started this collection was also entirely in yellow. However, these sunflowers also exist against a blue background.. Indeed,Vincent employed so many yellows and blues in his painting that the theme colors for the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is yellow on blue. |
