Colin
Bazell of Weymouth, England, is an amateur water colorist who specializes
in landscapes, which include the buildings found in his native Dorset.
His paintings are carefully not photographic but simply evocative of the
scene -- a framework for someone who might come by.

This
scene is unfinished -- Bazell starts with good paper and a sketch which
he completes with broad strokes of water color whenever he is inspired.
This means that he has several pieces in process at any one time. This is
the one currently on the desk.
A
scene of boats on a river's edge. Some of Bazell's landscapes are coastal,
which is fitting with his Dorset heritage on the south coast of England.

This
is 'Lunnon' at one time the highest farmhouse above the highest town in
England, Penrith. The farmers were my Father's family … the Grahams.
'Lunnon'
is now a ruin … a pile of stones in 2005 but the byre facing one is
in good shape because the roof is made of very large thin slaps of native
stone, The farm was probably built in the early 1800s.
